Challenge

The challenge was to guarantee the availability of the electro-optical system by means of a robust, reliable cleaning subsystem capable of operating under the environmental and functional conditions of a naval platform. The prototype had to integrate mechanics, actuators, control and instrumentation, demonstrate compliance through traceable testing, and maintain manufacturing repeatability across the supplied units.

Solution

BETWEEN Group developed the system as a turnkey project: concept design, architecture definition, integration of the mechatronic devices, development and integration of the control software, and manufacture and verification of the units. The test campaign, dimensional measurement and reports produced in collaboration with INDRA enabled certification of the assembly and assurance of its conformity prior to supply. Several units are currently being supplied for naval platforms fitted with the electro-optical system.

Result

A validated and certified optical cleaning subsystem was delivered, with units manufactured and supplied in accordance with the agreed technical and quality requirements. Functional verification, dimensional control and the reports produced supported certification and provided INDRA with a reliable, repeatable and validated product for integration into the naval platform.
